The book accompanies the exhibition “Agathe Veeber. Known, but still unknown ”at the Kumu Art Museum (19.12.2018–12.05.2019). Agathe Veeber (1901–1988), who started her artistic career in Estonia and successfully continued her creative work in New York, is one of the classics of Estonian art. 1933  In 1938, Veeber began studying painting at the Higher School of Art in Pallas, but graduated in 1938.  in the schedule. 1949  Agathe Veeber quickly succeeded when she moved to the United States in. He became a member of the American Graphic Society (SAGA), which gave him the opportunity to perform continuously in exhibitions. While living in New York, the graphic artist did not break ties with the Pallas school, but improved the art direction acquired in Estonia and participated in Estonian art life abroad.

The book appears in the series of archive publications of the Estonian Art Museum, which introduces the materials preserved in the museum’s archives. Through letters, documents, photographs and numerous works from the collection of the Estonian Art Museum, the artist’s life and creative path becomes clearer.
