Johannes Mikkel Art Collection

The catalog of the collection of Johannes Mikkel (1907–2006), one of the most important Estonian art collectors, brings to readers a selection of museum curators from the collection of pearls, introducing its most valuable works that speak for themselves in European art history. The book also deals with several masterpieces with a questionable author and date of completion, where you can find copies, reproductions and works that still need to be discovered, which best characterize the multi-layered nature of art history and Johannes Mikkel’s hopes, expectations and great love for art. The museum dedicated to Johannes Mikkel ‘s art collection was opened in 1997. as a branch of the Estonian Art Museum in the former kitchen house of Kadriorg Castle.
